We’ve gathered trusted resources to help high school, college, and young adults with academics, wellness, career exploration, and personal growth. Whether you’re looking for study tools, college prep support, mental health resources, or career planning help, this page is your starting point.

Local Resources

  • Ferguson Library (Stamford), Fairfield Public Library. Ferguson Library – Linked Libraries Program.Students in Stamford Public Schools can reserve books online and have them delivered to their school—no library card required.

  • Ferguson Library Student Card
    High school and college students in Stamford can apply for a full library card at any branch with a student ID.

  • CT Tutors CARE Volunteer teen tutors provide one-on-one and group tutoring in core subjects across Connecticut, including Fairfield County.

  • 4‑H Connecticut statewide youth development program offering engaging, hands-on learning in STEM, leadership, and creative initiatives—free and inclusive4‑H Connecticut​

Mental Health Support

  • ​​​Stamford Family YMCA — Offers full access to fitness facilities, swimming, gymnasiums, and group classes with potential student discounts. A great community hub to stay active.

  • Community Health Center of Stamford — A full-service FQHC providing primary care, behavioral health, nutrition services, pharmacy, and more. Low-cost and accessible for young adults.

  • Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County — Supplies nutritious meals to local food pantries serving Stamford and surrounding areas, supporting students and families facing food insecurity.

  • MyPlate (USDA) – Free nutrition guide with meal plans, portion tracking, and a free app (“Start Simple with MyPlate”). Great for young adults learning balance. ​
